His complete change in color will take some time. He is already showing a ton of potential! The fact that he is biting you already shows he has the typical "flower horn responsive/aggressive attitude" which I always feel is a good sign. Please keep us updated.

yeah, tht fading process takes time perhaps months. doesnt matter the color, look at tht huge kok at his size. gonna be a stunner !

it's because they have build their territory and yours probably wont accept any other fish in his tank just like my red devil. it's hard for me just to wipe off the algae on my weekly water changes.I usually just let him bite my finger till he gives up, then he will stop biting me and will leave my hand alone. He also will push against my finger and do that body wave thing that cichlids do when they fight. He's the most aggressive fish I have ever owned or seen. Especially at his size, he isn't afraid of anything. He's awesome.

You will see just as other members are saying, that when he get a little size to him those little cute bites he's giving you now will turn into, "Holy Sh*#! that hurt and now I have a bloody mark on my arm or hand that looks like a vampire was feeding on me"….lol…...As he grow keep those updates coming.
