mie has a higher intensity or scripting, by the looks of his father he will be very nice indeed, i will try and gte some pictures up of the father, remember he is only 7cm, 2.5" and he already looks like that, when you come to australia, thats high grade mate.

Yes the OP's fish is better, its rather rude to come into someone else thread and claim your fish is better than theres regardless ifs true or not. Lets everyone compare our RD to this guys (Yank-Keeper-Scott). Mines better than yours

To the OP, you should update yours I am curious to see how he is settling in.

sorry how that may have came across as rude of myself claiming mine was better, at no single stage did i mention that my fh was better, i think every single flowerhorn is amazing, no flowerhorn is better than another, they are all unique. and i dont even thing now mine is a red dragon, as i am told by the seller, "royal degree is an aus term for a certain strain of zz red dragon"
so your might all be a pure xx red dragon by my own one is something in its own different flowerhorn
what does op mean?

thanks

Don't buy into stupid names the seller is just trying to convince you its fancy. Its pure zz strain is red dragon. Its still a cool fish its just the most common strain of flowerhorn around the globe. I can get them for $5 a piece around here all day I just don't because id rather import strains from thailand you probably never knew existed. Just don't try to think yours is so unique without doing some research first. Yeah every flowerhorn is different because they are hybrids but you still have basic strains to go by, yours being the most common of all.

Hey your last comment was uncalled for. If anything, your fish is average. No way is it near grade A.

@OP: Your fish looks nice. Take good care of it and it should become even better looking.

Just because the father looks good doesn't mean his offspring will turn out just like him.

Grading flowerhorns is a complicated specially in a forums where you have different people with different experiences. How we grade flowerhorns largely depends on what we have kept and seen.

i cant belive the arrogance. i live in australia, we are limited by every single import law, we cant just go and buy a red dragon for $1, its a royal degree, and i dont want you telling me that its a pure red dragon, it is at a young age and still small, they had red dragons at $150 and royal degree at $50, good on you buddy for gettin them imported, for me to inport any into australia i have to go via a transhipper and pay a fee of $1500 just for postage, so i would rather stick to what i can get inside of australia, in australia we have the main strains and quoite a few of them, we pay $1200 for a 3cm thai silk out here, thats just how it is, so dont go trying to be arrogant to me, just because my country is limited to what we can get, speak to any other australian, that is tight for money, unemployed and the ods are against him, then i will let you say that. so go and buy your hick flowerhorns in the land of america, red dragons are not the most common arround the world, come to australia and then import all your fancy imported strains. at more than $1500 a peice.
