Got my Xmas bonus, currently running two Rena XP4s on my 150 but I'd like to replace one of them with one of these two filters. Any recommendations from anyone who has experience with one or both?

If money is not an issue, then eheim 2080 :) maybe even better option eheim 2260 (here cost about the same when you fill up 2260 with filter medium..dont know how is with prices there)

The problem with the FX5/6 is that the pump is on the bottom. That mesns fine debris can get in it snd lock up the impeller. The Eheims have been on sale frequenly so for about the same money you can get s superior filter. I got a 2262 a few weeks ago for $206. That is crazy cheap!

I have a 2080 and don't recommend it all. I do recommend the Eheim 2262 though.

The answer to your question is this, keep one R4 and run a FX6. I.e., upgrade one R4 to the FX6. :) Having said that, i'd leave the second R4 running in addition to the FX6. :)

But how can you go wrong with either of your options really?

Wow that is cheap. Where di you find it?
