New Fire Eel!

ok so here my new fire eel and my new tank i just finished setting up took me a week to build the stand lighting and sump but my eel does not seen to want to eat he is about 16 to 18 inchs any pointers

Good Idea to get a test kit for a newly established tank. Well any tank for that matter.

eels are slow to adjusting to new tanks. give him some time. keep offering food anf eventually he will settle in his new home and take some food. i have 2 tire tracks in different tanks and they're pigs, but when i first purchased them, they took time. also, i recently purchased a 12-inch fire eel, just over a week ago and he's not really eaten yet. he's still in the adjustment stage.

nice eel, and a nice looking tank. get some tubes for the eel to hide in it might just be nervous and wants to get away to eat.
