New fire eel

just bought one earlier. about 11" for $16. nice creature! loving him!
 
Very Nice! I just love Fire Eels. So sweet and loving when they're that size.

If I may ask a question, I have a 10" fire eel and it doesn't seem like he is eating. I think he may be stressed due to a bully JD in the tank with him. I will be moving him to another tank. My question, what is the best food to feed my fire eel?

I've tried market shrimp, ghost shrimp, blood worms and as a last resort small feeders. I could really use some help saving this little guy, any opinions on what I should do? Thanks

In my experience a fire eel will never turn down a night crawler or earth worm. I would try that. It's always worked for me. I bought a TT eel about a year ago and he refused to eat until I tried night crawlers. Since then I've gotten him on market shrimp but it took a while.

Thanks Chris, I will try that today...I've been worried about this little guy. I will let you know how it turns out.
