glad to see they made it home kevin, hows the gar making out?.....by the way this midas is BEAUTIFUL.......

Glad you like it.. That guy should be eating right away and watch out for those teeth. He'll get you sometime I'm sure. I had thought about feeding him some japanese flowerhorn food off the internet to see if he'd get more of a nuchal hump. Something to think about.

And the gar is good, in fact mine is much more active now and they swim together. Might need a couple more gar's..

Too bad pop's wouldn't spring for the blue arow. lol I'm dying for one of those nile perchs though.. Why couldn't they have been cheaper..

Well nice pick ups.But that pike doesn't look close to a lent.

Thanks for ruining my hopes. :)

In all honesty if you were to see it in person, and then look at a lent pic there are some same characteristics like some slight barring. The Wurm quality pics are so bad you can't even tell it's fish.. I know..

But I only paid $7.00 for it either way. Figured it's worth a shot.:)

Not trying to ruining your hopes.Just doesn't look like it.Post a I.D. thread or wait for PP to chime in.
But if it is a lent you should have bought every one they had for that price.
You could always buy that sickly one that TFP has for 150 lol

Aye, doesn't really look like a lent...especially so since it was so cheap. If it truely was a lent...it had to be either misidentified or they didn't know what it was worth, as lents should EASILY run you at least $50...and thats a really cheap one. The picture isn't makin it very easy, as the bag is distorting the colors and shapes. You said its only 1" long? Geez, thats a small pike. Be very careful with it as for some reason, when pikes are young and small, they are more delicate and seem to die a lot easier than one would think. If you could get some in the tank shots that would help. It looks like its a type of dwarf pike though.....that or a reallly small Crenicichla acutirostris...but that would be amazing considering the small size and low price! Anywho, great pick ups! :D

They only had one in that tank.. HOT keeps numerous fish in every small tank so you have to look in the tank close or look at the tag really close... I almost missed it. Anotherwards there is no real "just pike" tank or anything everythings all kept together.

I figured it was worth a chance for 7.00 either way.. They had some strigata's but they were seperate/larger and priced different.
