as for infertility, they are like 99% infertile most likely. its a genetic defect in blood parrots that carries through a lot of flowerhorn strains.
i wish somebody would prove or disprove this for a final verdict. they have red eyes, unlike fish that generally contain parrot blood which says its possible that males are fertile.

yeah not sure about these killin parrots, but blood parrots the males are pretty sterile.

That's a pretty cool mix, takes away from the uglyness of parrots in a way. Might have to pick one or two up if I see them at my LFS

always wanted one of these guys. anyone have a huge one? do they get as big as normal BPs?

I think someone in here said they get parrot sized.

When I bought it, I asked them how big they get. They said they get about as big as a BP. Now sure at what age are they suppose to show their coloration really well, but mine is 1½" and is showing their color very beautifully as a full grown FH.

Beautiful..

Bps males are mostly infertile but if ur lucky then u could have a fertile one. My Bp male would hover around the eggs even if they would start going bad :( heart breaking

I have 7 BP 3 males and 4 females and i didnt have any luck breeding them ! SO i decided to breed a female with my male texas !
Thats my 5 month old texasparrot that u see in the photo , the only one that i kept for me !
