I agree with Dr. Octo, if you plan on keeping these fish for life, the 55 gallon is already overcrowded. If you plan on upgrading, I would suggest keeping your current stock (of course depending on the size of your upgrade and the pair of cichs that have paired). Otherwise I would keep the GT and the pleco in the 55 gallon for life, quite a nice pair of tankmates.
