About 3 years ago I put some Prochilodus out into an outdoor pond whilst fattening/breeding some Arowana. Pond was about 180,000 litres and they just loved it. Put on a lot of size and fantastic natural colour. One thing I didnt realise was they are almost a flying fish. When netting for the Aro, the prochilodus would launch themselves meters out of the water. Not very smart though as I got whacked in the head and shoulders/back quite a few times. I always remember that experience whenever I see slow placid Prochilodus in tanks
