Man, i’ve always seen wolf fish online and never really considered them for my collection as I always though they weren’t as cool as payara or atf, but I saw a foot long aimara for the first time today and the way it calmly looks at you trying to determine if you are prey or not, made me feel genuinely threatened lol. No fish even comes close. It’s like he’s analyzing and ready to strike at any moment and is completely still with just its eyes moving. Cool ass fish, I understand the wolf fish hype and the price tag now.

IF memory serves me correct there's been more of them then Lower Xingu Lacerdae on this board.... I would consider both rare as to me there's rare and not so rare. In my opinion VERY rare would be reserved for color morphs like a melanistic ATF or Orange Gar.

I don't exactly know..... The fish I had was imported by Wes, all the ID stuff was done before it went to the first owner, I was the 2nd...... Just know that "Lucy" was the only one we knew of on this board.

There was a luci atf pic making its rounds a while back looked to be on a boat deck with a few others. This one was situated standing up while the others on their sides. What an amazing fish it looked to be!!
