5 miles from that one place
Posted this in SA/CA and they said the fish sound more like africans. So here I am. Bought these guys yesterday. One is suppose to be a ruby red. The other they didn't know what it is. The fish is a real light white-ish pink-ish color with yellow dots on his bottom back fins (3-4 of them) and also has yellow dorsal fin and light yellow tail fin. His body looks like it should be somewhat stripped. He is also extremely active. I have pics on my phone but I can't figure out how to upload them to the site from the phone.

If your phone has internet, I think you can email the pics to yourself then upload them here using a computer, but I've never done it myself.

You also will want to give it more than a few hours for people to respond to your post. You are asking people to Id a fish that is basically a white and yellow finned blur.

You have got to be joking?
That video is showing a fish that is doing its best to get out of the tank.
Its impossible ti id it from that.

It certainly wont last long unless you sort the water quality in your tank.
The other Malawi as Mike quite rightly said, is a hybrid.

He is the only one of the two acting like that and he did it at the pet store also. That's what caught my attention. All the other fish were chilled except him. I was like "ill take it!". I even took a bottle of water from my tank to the pet store and 2 different test kits and let them test it to make sure everything was good. I hope its ok. Can't really stand the thought of killing much of nething even if it is a fish. Kinda makes me mad that the one was advertised as a ruby red (which I assumed was full blooded) and turns out to be some sort of hybrid. Oh well he has some interesting behavior. When I first put him n the tank within an hour he had picked up some of my black rocks and moved them over the white rocks. Like 10 or so of them. Was funny to watch. The little white one don't do that. He hasn't even made him a home yet. The bigger (calmer) one has kinda took clame to both caves.
