^^^ that is what I thought as well. Not sure why I keep calling them peacocks.

I believe this one is Melanochromis Auratus

I also have two of these little guys. They are still really small but I think they are Rusty's. Their bodies are purple in color and they have Yellow fins and tail.

That sure is a Melanochromis Auratus looks female but could be a sub dominate male
I want a couple of these guys so bad but my LFS hasn't had a good selection of cichlids lately.:(
(today they didn't even have a single cichlid. all there cichlid tanks were empty.)

Well that is just what I have in my tank so far I think I want about 15 total I have 9 as it stands now. Here is a few shots of the tank.

As you can see they all range in size and seem to get along so far. I want to get some more color in my tank as well. I have seen some type of on here that is black with bright blue stripes. I am not sure the exact name but I would like to get 1 of those and also either a few electric blue or a cobalt zebra.

Here is a picture of one of my brighter female Kenyi

I think a couple of these would be cool,
(NOT MY PHOTO)

but I am not sure to their temperament.
(The Kenyi I have are calm now but I have been told they get aggressive so I am keeping an eye on them so they don't hurt my other cichlids)

I really really really want some blue fish haha but the LFS still has not got any new chiclids and also walmart only has the lil guys that I picked up today. Walmart gets new fish every Wed. and I am usally one of the 1st to choose. Also Fri. the LFS says they are getting a new shipment so maybe they will have what I am looking for.

The purple ones with the yellow fins and tail are Pseudotropheus acei

The kenyi still could be a male though Mine that I thought were female turned yellow between 3-4 inches some tanke longer than others to change color...
