yes.. good i'm glad someone confirm it... they are both females..

And no.. light color and dark doesnt mean male or female.. its the gill plate patterns...

If u go to ur local petsmart or petco where u can compare.. u'll see what i mean..

both the dark female is nice.. should get a Male with them.. that way the ratio is 1:2 male female...

Petsmart for sure i know sell big JD at 8.99 around 4-5" sometimes big ones at 8" too...

Instead of elongated spots it is going to be just smaller circles?

You have a male and female jd. 100% positive.
Just look at the gill plate, the drably colored female has that "beard of blue"

I dont think you should have ne problems with the jd and the oscars i had 2 oscars in with one jd and didnt have ne problems

both jd's are females . the darker one is very nice ! . the smaller one would color up more in a tank where she was the only female (dominance thing)

the larger one looks like a male to me and the smaller is a female....I may be wrong
