And no.. light color and dark doesnt mean male or female.. its the gill plate patterns... If u go to ur local petsmart or petco where u can compare.. u'll see what i mean.. both the dark female is nice.. should get a Male with them.. that way the ratio is 1:2 male female... Petsmart for sure i know sell big JD at 8.99 around 4-5" sometimes big ones at 8" too...
