Broken Arrow, OK
Hi, I was going to get my braces tightened :WHOA: ... well we had 30 minutes to spare so I walked into a southern ag. (they usually have your real common fish)

well I walked up to a tank labled "gulper catfish" and it was a batch of sun cats... and in the front was a sheatfish... well I have wanted a sheatfish for a LONG time... they have always been in my top 3 favorite fish... well she bagged it up for $6.99.... it is about 5" (off the top of my head) he is active and was swimming in the current at southern ag... well I don't know the i.d but I think it is either a Ompok bimaculatus or (maybe doubt it though) Wallago maculatus (or some other wallago sp.) the reason I am doubting the ompok is because it has different color and has some nasty teeth :WHOA:, either way I like both :headbang2 ... sorry the pics are blurry :( the camera is messing up.....

don't you love it when lfs mark fish wrong :woot: :clap :headbang2

lol I love smilies

:feedback:

what do you think on the I.D (I just looked up on him and his mouth is bigger then I thought resembling a wallago...)

but all sheatfish are cool :nutkick:  :headbang2 :woot:

in the pics you can't tell real well but mouth actually extends to the eye....

Looks good. Nice pick up. Not sure what it is though.

He's a little young but the dark patches behind the operculae lead me to agree with Phulltank57. It looks like an Ompok bimaculatus. Plus, it has a dorsal fin the Kryptopterus lacks.
