New Fish tank

I have a new fish tank in my new home im moving too,the tank is 35''x20''x24'' (LxBxH) could u guys reccomend me some fish to keep?

I would suggest a needle nose gar or rocket gar. Thats if your into aggressive fish.

It really depends on what interests you there are several setups you could do...

Small Afrrican tank
Discus tank
Firemouth, Salvini, or Convict tank...smaller CA/SA cichlids
Dwarf Cichlids
Community tank
Bichir tank

My favourite fish is the bichir but since they grow relatively big i was looking for some advice before i get some.So how fast do they actually grow?

I don't know Singapore, but your LFS sounds like mine, most of them do things that boggle the mind. Mine currently has a 12" RTC hybrid, and a 10" clown knife in a tank about twice as big...
Maybe you could get your fish from someone who breeds as a hobby...there should be a local club with an email? Sadly, I can't find one out here in the sticks, but I'm guessing you're closer to a larger city, they all have them.
