I know what you mean. I found my blue acara there as well as a pair of curviceps cichlids. None of my LFS carry them, so I was stoked when I found them for about $5 each:headbang2 Good petsmarts are worth checking out from time to time. I've see n the bichirs there also, but I don't have room in my current tank for them.... maybe when I upgrade ;)

My oscar just recently got eaten by my flowerhorn after he tried to escape his temp container and I filled his tank :[

i just bought my son a lil 2-3 oscar for his bed room tank..he loves him..he has gotten us to seeing us an dances for food when the light goes on in taylors room.

i have learned oscars are moody fish, if food, temps, tankmates arent to thier liking , they sulk, or lay on the tank bottom..continue working with all that and you will have your fishy dog following you as you walk by the tank.. i always play with the temps a lil and that makes them happy..

i agree with the petsmart comments.. i ahve bought some awesome fish from ours... i bought a mystery fish about six months ago for 6:99.. after growing him out. he has peeled into a gorgous male red devil..most personality fish i have.. hi name is satan, and i call him my stalker..lol

post some pics of your new baby!!!!

Thanks everyone :) I got some pics today, but I have to upload them tomorrow at work cause my home computer doesn't have a memory card slot. He ate last night! Turns out he loves blood worms (go figure). This morning when I fed him, he did the "give me food dance", but then waited until it was almost all gone to pick at it. I figure as he adjusts he'll turn into a little piggy just like all other Oscars. I am still waiting to add my severum back in until he is completely comfortable.

Okay, I finally have pics! Took me long enough, lol. The Oscar's name is Gulliver, and the Geo still hasn't told me what he's called yet ;)
