Wow.....i'm sorry. Talk about going from an emotional high to an extreme low in a short period of time.

Not sure if it's something you'd be into but you can perserve it. Might be a lil easier since you didn't have him long as oppose to doing a process like this on a pet you'd gotten attached to overtime.

its not your fault bro , theres nothing you could have done to stop what happened. im really sorry too hear that what a nighmare. its weird how some fish cant handle something new. i had a caribe get eaten because it couldnt handle the light i added to the tank. it was acting really strange so everyone ate it. that really sucks man:(
 
Damn! I feel ya - I had a 150XH crack on the bottom the night after xmas. The tank was only a month old and housed my breeding pair of Red Terrors - they where 3 yr old 12" M and 1 1/2 yr old 8" F and very much my pride and joy. Never bought a new pair - Done with it. Hope you can get thru this and get back on the horse.
 
think he's already looking for blue diamond rhom.
if can't find any locally then check with vendors
 
Yeah im tryin not to get down. It was difficult posting the thread of this loss on P-Fury.com's forum because people seemed to go on the offensive maing it seem like I deliberatly put the fish in bad water and this that and the other and just came off really mean. Not what I wanted to hear after I just brought home one of the most gorgeous Rhoms ive ever seen only to have it tko itself... I took great offense to it but took the high road and made a respectful response...

My life is so stressful anymore, and fishkeeping and full contact fighting are my only two escapes in this world... I bought the rhom in the forst place because it reminded me of me a little bit. We are both bigger than most in our species, we both are a solo animal, and we are both pretty good at tearing things/people to shreads. So in a sense, this rhom was my new companion and it was going to be me and him Vs the world...
When I saw that he died, it was a serious shot to the morale... I guess i just need to be strong, just like the rhom was strong.
 
yea I read the post on pfury, some of the comments are uncalled for and think you responded pretty well.
hope you find an other rhom soon, in the mean while you should get some fish in the tank to keep it cycled, other wise all the bacterias will die off since there won't be any food source for them
 
That's human for you. Always trying to kick someone when they're down. I have no doubt you'll bounce back just fine though
