another question i have is i know the cuban is nasty and i know the venny pike can be nasty just like any pike and the jewel and loisellei can be too so wouldnt the grammode fit better or are they just wayto nasty cuz i know they call them the mini dovii

I agree and say go with Lyonsi. Ive heard pikes are more beligerent than territorial and the other cichlids will most likely leave the lyonsi alone since its not very aggressive and wont pose as big of a threat as the grammode. the grammode will pose a threat for territorial position in the tank which will eventually wreak havoc but they also are slow growers.
