actually from your video, it doesn't. if you can get some good still photos we can probably make a better comparison, but from what we have seen of the video footage your fish looks to be a longnose gar (either way it's much skinnier). it IS possible you have spotted gars, but we'd need some shots for a better ID. did you find yours in a river or lake? again, pics will help, but yours are nice fish as well--

just a quick update (hopefully more pics next week); i just measured one of the fish from this batch yesterday (for a video they were shooting of the lab) and he's 21.5 cm, or ~8.5". decent growth on fish that were less than 1" long on June 1 --
