Where the fish go.
So yesterday I drove 180 miles round trip to pick up some fish, might be thinking why would you go that far for fish, well I really like fish :headbang2 and for the chance to have somthing very very rarely found in the hobby (if at all) and not heard of being F1 in the continental US till now, how can you pass that up? Cichlasoma sp. "La Palma", they are currently an undescribed species with their closest relative being C. dimerus, major difference is that C. sp. “La Palma” are about 1/3 the size of C. dimerus. These guys are found in a pond called La Palma near the town of Tranqueras, Uruguay.
Here are some pics of the fry I picked up!

Thanks guys! They're in a 20L grow out as of right now, and for tank mates when they get into there final tank will be Geophagus sp. "Araguari Orange Head" with what ever tetra I can get cheap at the local auctions lol

I have also driven hours for fish. It takes dedication to your hobby and a certain type of insanity to do it. Your pick-up looks like a cool item. Best of luck with them.
