New fish

I dont think its wild caught, we don't have gars in india
That may be true. But could the fish have been wild caught somewhere else and imported?
Still wild caught

There are lots of gars that are cb and mass produced in Asia and shipped overseas. Probably in this case the same.

That's why a Florida and spotted gars can't be told apart now a days by spots. Florida gars have bred to have super spots and advertised that way. SB gars and bent back gars are out there as well. Gator gars are also cb so they can get those platinums.

Cost to ship wild caught would be high especially from the US to Asia. Cheaper for shipping cb gars from Asian suppliers to India or any area in Asia.

From my understanding its central America thats does most of the alligator gar. The florida/ spotted gar is often achieved in pools/ponds and or simply releasing spotted gar into the area where florida gar reproduce then collected

I think this fish is cb for a few reasons like its not a native species here and it costed me 250 indian rupees, estimated 1usd = 60 inr and if it was caught and shipped from us then they would cost like 3000-4000 inr.

Alligator gars are bred throughout Asia. Most of the gator gars in the hobby would come from these sources. Some places in Central America will breed gator gars and tropical gars, though it tends to just be the tropicals that infrequently make it into the hobby.

Not sure where you got your information on Florida/spotted gars. Most of it is incorrect. There are two main sources for Florida gars in the hobby. You get wild collected florida gars, or you get ones imported from Asian sources. Spotted gars are generally unavailable to hobbyists that live outside their native range.

Definitely captive bred. What size of tank is the gar in? Any tankmates?

The current tank size is 3×2×2, its a grow out tank and i am planning on getting a silver arowana as a tank mate and a RTC too.

Tank size doesn't sound too big for a small gar. It wouldn't be tankmates stressing it out if there aren't any right now. Myself I wouldn't just keep trying with the bloodworms and pellets. Looks like you have had it for a roughly a week at this point. Maybe add some plants/cover to try and make I think feel more comfortable.

Yeah... Its doing fine in this tank tho... It has grown in size and shows no signs of stress and its eating like crazy now. And 3×2×2 is quite a big tank for a fish that is 6' long and the water quality is very good right now.
