Before anyone gets mad about them being in my main tank, that was just to show them off to a relative while they were visiting. I have a divider in the tank for them and they have a nearly 2 x 2 x 2 foot space to swim in while I get their own tank ready.

Not sure. I just got it because I know fish like to lay eggs on pots. I believe you flip it on it's top like I have it for Angels and on it's side for other Cichlids.

I got some new fishies today, and I am in love! $108 bucks later (choke)

I purchased a small starter school of 3 rummy nose tetras, two male boseman rainbows, an electric blue ram, and a pair of dark marbled angelfish

I also got some plants not sure the names, one makes red leaves, kinda looks like ludwigia but isnt ( I have some already), some vine lilly pad looking floating plant, and some val-- grass looking stuff. As well as a big lava rock with two holes carved out for some extra hiding spots.

You're lucky to get an entire setup for that price. The filters I bought for my tank were nearly $300 and I just bought a new one.
