Remember the light on that tank was amazing! It came with two different kinds... You can't go wrong there.

Mondo grass is cute, would it live in the critter keeper?
 
I wouldn't do the mondo grass. Like I said it needs to be out of the water. For some reason it lives in Luke's tanks though. . . You could try it maybe you have the same luck, but it does much better in semi-aquatic terrariums.
 
i cant remember the light... what light i got lost with the mass post delete?

and mondo grass should do fine if you let some of it stick in the air cuz i think technically it is a we root dry leaf plant.... am i right??
 
Ya if you can figure out how to get it out of the water part way but short of letting it float there aren't many options. I don't think it does well floating.
 
That tank isn't very tall... I was thinking it could stick out of the top.

And now I know why all the mondo grass died in my glofish tank. It lasted for such a long time, then it just up and died. I was so sad. It looked neat while it lasted.
 
yeah mondo grass is cool little stuff.... or you could get some like frill or bacapua
 
Frill is my favorite.

It needs special lighting though, huh?
 
The frill grew just fine in my 10gal. It shouldn't be a problem just make sure you trim it as it dies off.
 
yeah that was my frill problem... that and it gettin eaten but you shouldnt have a problem with that snail of yours lolz
