I purchased him from a reputable LFS in my area.
Well what kind of reputation are they trying to build exactly?
His left eye appears as though he is blind. He has perked up but I can tell his blindness in his left side has affected him.
Just because it's clouded over does not necessarily mean that he is blind. Navigation naturally becomes difficult because his vision is obscured by the clouding from infection (ever had pink-eye, it can be hard to see out of your infected eye because it's constantly boogering up on you and watering and sore.... Sorta the same principle). But cloudiness in and of its self does not equal blindness. It could lead to that, but don't assume the worst just yet!
He has a bit of trouble zeroing in on the garlic soaked pellets I drop in for him. But when he finds them, he eats them.
Like I said, navigation will be a bit tricky for him, but he has other, stronger senses he can tap into. As long as he is still active and eating thats a good sign.
This will probably b the last time I buy from this particular lfs. I bought 6 3" bristle nose plecos from them 4 months ago and had 3 die within a week.
My goodness! I hope it's the last time. Sounds like these guys need a good talking to. I'm sorry for your previous losses, hopefully this one will pull back around and make a full recovery!
I didn't buy from my usual dealer because they were out the day I went to purchase him so I drove out to a different LFS. Next time I'll wait till they get them in stock.
Patience is a virture my friend. lol.
I will have an updated pic posted later.
That would be great. Thanks.
