Yah, I'm thinking I should be able to get the sand this week. The whole tank ought to look a lot better with black sand. I'll make sure to post more pics once I've added it.

This may be in the stickies, and I just missed it, but is there a way to sex florida gars?

yeah deff would. wish i could go black with mine:S no way of sexing externally.

I'm really really liking this guy the longer I have him. I'm already thinking about getting another one...

I wish I had room for a 220g that I could dedicate just to some gars...

Yup nice gar, Only ones i can find out here in Texas are in the lakes. Need one of those though cause my g. tile (eel) keeps eating the needlenose- 8 inch is too small a tankmate i guess
