new florida gar

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
haha i hope, if i can find one... what do u feed urs tigrey?

nice gar...the silver aro may pick on the gar when they are larger, but nothing to bad...at this size watch out during feeding...if the aro is infront of the gar wait to drop in some food...the strike of the aro may cause the gar to reaction bite the aro...i exp. this with my gar and aro...this time i am experimenting with a 16" gar and a 8" silver aro...so far just the one reaction bite...the first time was a 16" aro and a 8" gar...

ill keep that one in mind sbuse :)

GL on african aro idea bro ;)

does anyone with a florida gar know if the spots on its side will come back if my stupid pleco got to it somehow? i had a temp divider in place and the pleco squeezed thru and started sucking on the gar.

Nice gar!

As has already been said please be watchful of your aro + gar combo. From my experience the chance of actual aggression is low but as the Arowana grows it will become more bold and probably try stealing food from the gar's mouth. This can result in many different scenarios (either of them getting bit, etc) but the most common result is the gar freaking out and slamming into the glass or some driftwood or something and seriously hurting itself.
