Im new here too.
Bought a fh 2 days ago and I was like you.
Most people here says that their favorite food is new life spectrum.
I ordered some okiko packs mix for 30 euro, I’m awaiting them from eBay.
A lot of people likes hikari too.
I sit here and wait for other comments.

Thanks man, I was looking into getting new life spec as a staple food and then is there anything els I should feed him during the week like frozen blood worms? Dry brim shrimp through out the week as well I wanna find a weekly feeding schedule that works great ha
I raised all of mine on an exclusive diet of pellets (NLS). New Life didn't have the AlgaeMax formula when I had my FH's or for sure I would have fed a bit of that each day too. Think of FH as omnivores, not carnivores that require massive amounts of protein, and feed sparingly each day - no power feeding, and you will limit the potential of gastrointestinal issues that can often arise with FH. Good luck.
Things like you mentioned are normally a one time a week treat.
Once a week if you must... I stay away from all frozen/freeze dried foods... pellets only

I never fed frozen, freeze dried, or live. No need really.
