Haha no he's definately not too young despite what most think almost any cichlid including flowerhorn can be bred at around 1.5-2 inches if conditions are right I have done this many times infact just had a pair at 2 inches breed, you just get way less fry around 2-4 hundred vs 1-2 thousand on a full grown pair..

haha maybe for a fry, the fins and flowers alone make it a little more valuable the the average fh not to mention the red is super intense and the pearling over the head is not too common either
