New flowerhorns from Julie @ flowerhorn from beyond

Since I spent all my money on black friday and couldn't buy any of the expensive ones I got the remainder of her fry. A local guy (vittleking) was ordering something too so I was able to split shipping with him. I'm picking them up tomorrow but vittleking sent me some pictures of them tonight so here they are.

I'll get some good shots of them tomorrow when they're in my tank. He's also got some synspilumXkkp fry that I'm picking up with these guys. You can see them in some of the photos.

Vittleking says "I am prety sure they are "tin kum" or something like that. What that means is the breeder scoops up netfulls of fry and sells them as a group. Some will turn out sweet, some will be crappy."

I'm just excited to pick up my first flowerhorns from Thailand wether they were cheapos or not. They have to bee 1,000x better than anything I'm getting out here and for a fraction of the price too. What do you guys think?

and it looks like she just added a few more too. I wish this guy would have been on there for $80 when I ordered

Who knows, maybe some of my fry will turn out better than the ones I posted above. Mine were probably culled into the pond and the ones shes selling for good money were probably hand picked from entire batches of fish as far as I know.

out of your first set, i really like that one in the center of the 4th pic. its shows some potential bro. i dont really like that last one all too much, it has pretty weak finnage.
thats lucky that you get some synspilumxkkp fry. im exited for you! i bet those will turn out pretty nice. i love pretty much anything that is based on vieja/parathaps. they just have such an original look to them. good luck with these, you lucky bum.

Still coming out Wednesday? I couldn't pick them up today but they will be home by the time you come to pick up your other fish from me. I'm not going to have room for all of them for long anyays.

the water looks like that because no flash was used. If you notice all the pictures with flash, the flash bounces back and you can't get a good picture of the fry. The tank has no background and is light by room lights. Look at the pictures with the flash and you will see the water is fine.
