New found pup!

He looks sweet... You really should put an add in the paper and a few flyers around, there could be some very sad kids wanting their friend back. It is selfish to keep him because your girlfriend named him. I lost my girl when she was 4 months old, I was about 8 and it broke my heart, me and my parents dorve around for hours, we called local animal controls ect. ect. about 2 weeks later someone called and said they were planning on keeping her. I would hope that if any of my dogs got lost and found their way into an animal lovers arm that the person would do the right thing.
2 miles from home is no big deal for a dog, when they're sniffing around being a puppy they can go pretty far..
The sad truth is his owners probably will not call you if you do the right thing and look for them, but at least you can know you tried to do good..

May I ask what part of Texas you are in? You can check the pet area of craigslist.com for lost pets.
