thats awsome, how big are the parents, my RBP are about 1 year old and my biggest is almost 9" and i have 4 of them the othere 3 are bout 7.5"+ but i have never seen any breeding activity..

My breeders range from the 4 to 6 inch mark.i got eight pairs of them at the moment.need to cut back on a few.They are still young yet....

Breeding will happen if conditions are right.....
 
yea mine grew like really quick too, i heard they were suppose to hit like 6" in the first year than like 1" after that each year. and when i first got them they were the size of a quarter, and now my biggets is like 9" and they are just in a 75g...

They are eating (obviously) so most of your troubles are over. If you want to concentrate the food, a good tip is to drop the tanks water level quite low and you can slowly raise volume over time as they grow. Sponge filters best since this creates a place for them to feed off and gentle enough not to suck up fish. Perhaps some placid bottom cleaners in case you overfeed. I use bare bottom tanks for fry but everyone has their own ideas. I havent kept or bred Piranha before, is there a predation problem between largest and smallest ?
