um where did i mention that i got more fish besides guppys?? plus i have 5 femaales left.

i removed teh divider earlier today and they are acting fine now..

1 pair FM 1 pair JD cause i got rid of teh oddball firemouth yesterday..

:WHOA::WHOA::(:( ......in a 29 gallon?!?!

You'll need at least a 75 (4 foot tank, not a 55) to house all of those fish (2 pair) properly for life. The guppies are gona be snacks in no time. I would be surprised if the JD pair allow the FM pair to live in that tank much longer.

10 Gallon for any type of cichlid is a poor choice IMO.... I don't even know why they sell 10 gallon tanks

You need to upgrade very soon or keep either the FM pair OR the Convict pair in the 29 ONLY

Best advice I can give is to read and research the fish that interest you FIRST. You should have a firm grasp of each species' requirements as ADULT fish including water params and minimum tank size before you get them. It is not wise to buy then learn. You'll save yourself a lot of headaches (and flaming on forums ;)) if you do things this way...No flames just trying to help you and point you in the right direction.

We've all made our fair share of mistakes so do the best you can for the fish...You'll be keeping monsters in no time.
