New full spotted L330

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You should be careful handling them like that. I read on here that an angry pleco can take off a finger like nothing.

(No, I'm not serious, this is a specific reference for those who get it...)

Me too, been looking for araguaia, Christine from FE have to put on her scuba gear and start collecting them from lake michigan, so vast, she couldn't find them! LOL

I know you need the araguaia to complete your L27 group. I just hope they dnt cost as much as the teles pires!

But on seriously note the only pleco I wouldn't pick up by hand is vampire plecos.
Wow that's a sweet L330, the spots and coloration are super crisp!
Thank for the kind words koltsixx

Thank for agreeing tigerjace.

why not pick up an L240 by hand, I have 2 and I normally grab most of my plecos by gloved hand, got sliced a few times when not wearing gloves, are you worried about the teeth? I really love the collection you have, nice looking plecos, Now I want an L330 too.

Thanks Divinehammer: I held a L240 flat in the palm of my hand once and got bit, it felt like a hard pinch I guess I'm still dramatize. They do have nice size teeth to go with the name vampire pleco. You should add a L330 to your L190 & L191

I think I will for sure, I figured it had to be the teeth, I'm more worried about being spiked, my 7" feather fin got me once and my 20" RTC got me as well, dam that smarts big time. I use thick leather gloves now any time I handle any of my Plecs or Catfish since.

I will say being spike by a catfish hurt way more than get spike by plecos. When handling big plecos the key is to stay clear of the back half of the plecos that were most of the spikes are and they like to swing the backend around like a U-shape to trap your hands and fingers.

yup my common got me like that, she was only 14" at the time, was the last time I moved her to the 240, shes around 18" now.
