new fx5 problem! PLZ READ

i like the outflow on my fx5. i am going to get a few more. they are awesome. i don't turn my fx5 off when i do any wc. unless i shake it up to clear the loose crap out. just let it run and don't drain past the intake. the flow in the shallower water stirs all the crap up and allows for better cleaning. nothing worse then adding water and finding that hidden pocket of crap.

Seriously... That's a good idea. When I don't do a maintenance on my fx5 I'm thinking of keeping it on to babe the output stir up.

Some rbp will freak out, I used to do this but they started to get pissy... You know there's a release on the bottom of the can so u can drain the big particles out, right?

x2 and i will usually pull the filter cage out and leave a little water in the canister then swirl it around to get the extra stuff off the bottom and dump it out.

rbps do get skiddish. i cant find a damn hose to fit that check valve on the bottom so i said f' it. i got tired of water on the floor. i just give the canaster a shake then turn it off after a few seconds every few weeks. neber any problems. i do a full clean of the filter every few months at most. runs perfict.
