I just got a new fx5 for my 240 i need to start the thing up so i wounder if i can toss it in my 60g (same fish are going into the bigger tank) just to get the media going? 240 wont be done tell next week. So i rather have the thing loaded and it will help cycle my new tank. Any thoughts?

OMG.... who has this filter and hates the Clamps that hold the piping into the tank? thos little C things. I was testing them on my 240 and they are stuck.... i cant seem to get them to come off.. one did but kind of indented the trim >.< So is their a simple way to take them off?
Does this filter use alot of power? my friend was telling me today when i showed it to him. That i will raise my E bill about 60 bucks and i asked him how so. He said a little (303) looking filter he had raised his bill about 60.. I dont think so. what do u guys thing? Maybe i should start cutting back? lol Kill a tank lose a pump tuen lights off more and tv :x lol or to hell with with? i have a solorpanel which is 6x6 inch big i can rig up but the suns on the other side of the house :\
your friend is wrong..I put a new FX5 with my 404 on my tank and I didn't notice a difference in my bill.

ya thats what i was thinking lol cuz my bill alone didnt jump pass 10 buck with my pc/tv/dvr/lights An some stuff runs 24hrs.
Another thing my carbon is too small. it can easly slip pass the champers and get into the pump... fear of starting it now. What can i do? do they sell bags that hold this stuff?
