This prob wont make you feel better, but I got my spotted at 8". I'm guessing the bigger the better being that he knows not to swim fast. I keep mine with 2 VATF'S and the always dart by him or as they play tag the might side swipe him, but he doesn't flinch. I say next time (I know your ganna get another :)) try for one a little bigger or keep him solo till hes a good size

you have no idea!!:naughty: just picked up a 15"er ytd and have another 3 reserved for me for when i get back, but will prob only get two more, as tank's getting a lil full. these two will be purely for experimental sakes, as they're stunted gars and i wanna see if they recover. needless to say they won't be in the community tank though....
