That is not even a gar let alone one from Flordia... it is an Asian Needle fish Xenentodon cancila....Which is again a perfect vindication of why asking for pics and Proper ID is wise long before bothering with advise....
I love the needlenose. I went threw two of these when I still had my oscars(as well as 5 rocket gars/also way cool) I love the way the eat...predators are cool.
I had one once, all it would ever eat was feeders...this was years ago.
