I don't have any pikes yet. My stock lists have always been wrong for them, but I saw some red pikes that I loved at the LFS on Thursday. They were about 3" and fiesty.

You are going about this all wrong! You get the pikes and they help you fix your stock list! ....do the stock list around the pikes, not the pikes around the stocklist. Crenicichla johanna eh? nice, they are eaters....but don't rule out their prettier cousins...
