I just recently bought a GN pleco a couple days ago at about 3" from my lfs. He belly wasnt sunken nor was it fat, more just flat. He is kinda skinny but he doesnt really go for any food i try to give him. Ive tried repashy soilent green, hikari algae wafers, frozen bloodworms, and blanched zucchini. He swims around sometime but mostly hides on various places. How do I get him to eat. Hes currently undergoing treatment with General Cure incase he has worms.20200806_205536.jpg20200805_173137.jpg20200805_173729.jpg

Just give it some time and leave a blanched zucchini or green beans overnight for him to nibble at night. You could also put it in a floating breeder box and target feed it small pellets like NLS or frozen bloodworms to get it eating. Gold nuggets are notoriously hard to acclimate. Good luck

Do you have any tips for acclimation? Should i expect to be eating after 3 days of having it?

I wouldnt worry about it to much. Ive had mine for over 2 years and have never seen him eat yet hes still alive. Ive tried many different vegtables and its never touched 24hours later when i take it out. I feed pleco formula bug bites which all the other fish love. Im just assuming hes eating scraps in the middle of the night.

I could be wrong but I don't believe General Cure does anything to help with worms.
A good indicator of worms or internal parasites will be clear feces. If you see that, I'd try dosing with levamisole, that's what I've had the best luck with in the past.
Little gold nuggets can be tricky. Good luck!
