thanks,
He hasn't come out of hiding in a few days now, starting to worry.
I have a lot of large driftwood so maybe he is just content whith sticking to the back side of it.
but it would be nice if he would make an appearance once in awhile.

I rubber band food to a rock for him but it's hard to tell if he's eating it because my barbs seem to eat it too.

I put out, rubberband to slate, zuchini, cucumber and I even tried a peice of cod.

He won't come out, hard to tell if he's eating because my Barbs and bristle nose plecos eat this stuf too.

I did see him for a breif second the other day so I know he's not stuck or anything.

He shouldn't be scared, he's 4 times bigger than any other fish in the tank

I have found my guy to be mostly carnivorous, and I have read about their need to eat driftwood to keep their digestive system working (Frankie gnaws on the wood constantly. Its almost reminds of Maggie Simpson with her pacifier). Frankie's favorite foods are massivore, krill, blood worms, and prawns. When I first got him I fed him after the lights had been off for a little bit to let the others kinda go to sleep. This way he was more comfortable in the dark, and didn't have so much competition. Once he got used to the food and the environment, i was able to feed whenever. Now he moves competitors out of the way.

Also, I used prazipro to deworm him, and it seemed like he may have needed it. GL
