New green terror! Rate him

at what length do they start growing the long flowing fins? I bought mine and he was 1.5 inches and now is getting closer to 2... he has really colorful face and orange tipped fins but hasnt really shown color in the rest of the body as much. His fins are becoming more colorful and he was the one showing best color in the tank at the store... I hope its a male but havent seen the long flowing fins start yet :confused:

As he moves closer to 3" his body will color up a little. Mine is like 2.5" right now and his body has a blue/green tint to it that he didnt have at 2". I can tell that it is male though, as his anal fin trails back along his tail fin.
 
I'd give him a 4 out of 10 like he is. At that size, the really nice ones have more color to them, and his body shape is not as nice as the top notch ones.

Hopefully he perks up a bit as he gets more acquainted with his new home and settles in.
