Ya I passed on one last summer and regretted it. This was just one of those "Have" to have fish. Probably paid to much($70) but "Dang" he sure looks good in the 180g

I got him at Fish Den on 44th and Sheridan. They have some big tanks so they are always willing to take in big fish on trade.

OK, forgive me for my lack of research. What is the visual difference between a Gold saum, silver saum and a "true" green terror? Also the pic below is what I believe to be a 6" female, is she also a gold saum?

cool fish man can we get a full tank pic as well

and yes she is a gold

and I think the differences between the gold and silver is the reddish orange bit that you see on the tip of the tail fin

and I think the silver saum is the true green terror I think your thinking of Aequidens rivulatus which is the other "false" green terror

Click on the "180 gallon" link in my sig. I'll post a new thread in the photo lounge hopefully by next weekend:)

Those are both gold saums. Silver saums are identical but have a silver edge to the unpaired fins. Hence the name silver saums. The "true" green terrors are an undescribed species and have a slight silver lining to the fins and the scaling is opposite the saums. A. rivulatus is an entirely different species than these three.

One of my "true" gts. Note the opposite scaling.
