Here is a picture of a male silver saum(bottom). The top is my female when I first got her. She was a thin slightly sickly looking thing. Lol

But these two give you a good side by side comparison of the differences between the two.

MrsE88 MrsE88 what do you think about this one? I put him on hold for tomorrow since I'm at work. Trying to use what you spoke of I think male? But then my gendOmeter isn't very accurate.:confused:

I see more color on his fins and the edge of color on his tail is a little more blurred... not as crisp? His face *seems* to be less slanted then my white. Again trying to learn so please forgive me, I'm hoping I spotted differences right!

Now to keep an eye on their next shipments and see if I can play spot-the-differences if they have more white saums! More tanks are in the making, I'm picking up a 220g in the next week.

The differences can be very subtle. Like the blue on the lower jaw. See how the male has none and yours has smudgy blue? This isn’t always a definite way of sexing, but it can help.

In this case you can see the males business, so that makes it easier.

Females only have their tubes down when getting ready to spawn. And their tubes are rounded or flattish looking. Not pointed like the males.

Very nice! I’d love to have a 200g+ tank. Right now I’m lacking the space for a tank that size. Share pictures when you get it!
 
I think I see what you mean by smudging, along the bottom of the jaw? The tube is easy now, Bolivan males have the V while females are more U as you said so that I can understand. I'm hoping I can get a white saum pair and a gold saum pair eventually. Regardless they are awesome fish! I will definitely post pictures when I get the 220 up!
