New green Terrors owner

Water changes nitrite is now a good 7 I changed 60 liters only as this is a new tank they are in

Today I seem to have messed my green terrors up after moving two of them to the new tank the breeding ones
They seem to be constantly opening and closing there mouth for no apparent reason I have fed them water is well oxygenated. I used 184 liters from my old 200 liter and 216 liters from the tap + prime for 300 liters

Nitrate 0.5


Any infobwould be great also they both had a fight mouth locked now she is following him everywhere

Did you cycle the tank before adding the fish?
Adding old water from an existing set up will do nothing. you need to add mature filter media from your mature filter to the new one.

I would add old media and do large daily water changes.Feed very little until things stabilise.

added salt 7 table spoons to my 110gallon
Doing 30 liter daily water change with prime from tomorrow (did 60 today)
Sand and lights arrive Wednesday
The old filter and heater was moved in migration with the fish and water

The fish is not opening and closing mouth since last night but I want to keep a eye on them they sit directly behind the sofa so it's cool to watch

Looks like you can not move green terror pairs from one tank to another when the eggs are new moving them back there normal moving them to new tank not cool. Even though eggs are gone I don't know what is up going to scrub my new tank tomorrow on Christmas

I think it depends on the size of the tank, the size of your pair, and the tank decor.

If the tank is small, no it wouldn't be advisable.
If the tank is large enough, and decorated in a fashion that would allow the small fish to take refuge from the pair, you can give it a shot.

The good thing is you have an extra tank you can use if it doesn't work out.
