New green Terrors owner

Totally agree that you can keep green terrors in groups, just need a large enough tank and large enough group. Can make an impressive tank. I've seen all male tanks or single male with harems. You can also keep just one, whoever implied it's not good to keep just one was either trying to sell you more fish or didn't know what they were talking about. Ime male/female pairs are ok, but like a lot of other cichlids, this is if they 'like' each other, so not guaranteed. Small groups, like 3 or 4, it's going to depend-- age, gender makeup of the group, tank size.

Personally, I've kept a lot of single males, but also pairs, or trios with just one male.

It's 80 us gallon tank 300 liter tank. Waiting for after Xmas to get a 500 liter and get rid of my 200 plus fish and 300

I bought a pelco was a about a inch in size the green Terrors and convict ignored it had in for 4 hours before bed this morning I woke up and he has gone?
I did water change I checked my lvls I removed all ornaments checked behind filter? Any clue were he could have gone ?

Your first two is male and female. The dark one is female. I am pretty sure too.

If you post pics of the latest one I can try and sex it for you.

I wouldn't be surprised if you see eggs in a few weeks or sooner.

if you checked every square centimeter of your décor, and still cant find him, they probably tore him apart in the night and the skeleton probably ended up buried or stuck in the filter or something. Either he will turn up, or he won't.....it's happened to me before

I do a water change on Wednesday and Sundays only 30 liters each day making 20% I would love to have green Terrors flying around and so forth
I will definitely get pictures up tomorrow for sexing thank you so much for help on that spending your time helping me

Frank I hope he turns up and sorry for your loss. My fish have true character and I love the way they float around looking innocent then swim around up to mischief.

William, Patricia and michelle. The convict is called Patrick
I am hoping to go from 3 tanks down to 1 in the future I have a tiny 19l one male Betta. 200l mixed community and the 300l with my Terrors, convict and maybe pelco don't know were he/she is my convict has peach dab like patterns on its side. I will get the pics up tomorrow
