I actually like everything about the tank except the color of the plant on the right. It is a bit yellow. I think it would look better if it was a darker green. Just my opinion. I really like the rock work.

I do need to get some new plants. They, for the most part are silk plants and after bleaching them out several times in two years they do start to look too yellow. The bright side is, that when the algae gets built up on them they look just right! LOL
Thanks for your thoughts.
good looking tank dude, but as for pete, in those first pics you posted i noticed those dark blotches on his underside...this is one of the key signs of internal parasites in the gsp. Is his underside whitening up? How long have you had pete?
Funny you sould dig this old thread up at about the same time I started this new one.
He still is colored the same from day one till now.
This is the new thread....................................................................
I bought the GSP Dec.4, 09 I have pulled up the list of food that is on the puffer forum site to find food that that is best for him.
He was eating flakes when I got him.
This is what he won't eat....omega one shrimp pellets, wardley cichilid floating pellets, omega one tubiflex worms. He will nip at broken up krill. He will still eat some flake.
I put tailless market shrimp on a holder and he don't touch it. There in six ghost shrimp in the tank and have been for months. won't touch snails.
Now he loves frozen blood worms and fresh night crawler worms! He will pig on the crawlers.
I know he needs hard food to keep his beak in check. So what can I do? Have you had this happen to you with a GSP?
try some clam from the grocery store broken up but leave the meat on the shell. when he goes for the meat he will scrape his teeth on the shell and trim them down. probably have to be done pretty frequently since he wont go after snails.
