thanks for your replies. now my female gt is making a nest to lay eggs in. this would be the 2nd time she will lay eggs on the same spot. the 1st time, there was no male, so it wasnt fertilized. the male gt only has been in the tank for about a few days and seems to be hiding near the filter a lot. when my female gt goes close to it, she will sometimes flare and chase him. the male gt is still about 3 inches always running away from the female and which is about 4 inches. what are the chances the male will fertilize the eggs ??
