Koji is part of one of the biggest arownana farms in the world....you know
pang long arowana .he knows his stuff like no other..take at look at this guys fish:headbang2
he has some of the nicest fish in the world .......no joke man:headbang2
google it pang long.....im just sayin:D

Don't feel too bad OP (John).. I very recently was about to have an argument about Channa Bleheri with Heiko Bleher..

(So, I learned that when I see a user on any forum with ID "spiderman", there is a non-zero possibility that it might actually be Spiderman!!!)

Cheers,
Sid

PS: Fish compatibility advice is based on probability. How things actually turn out depend on the specific individual fish, tank size, feeding and several other parameters. Koji's advice is based on the very high probability that multiple Silvers in one tank usually don't stay peaceful..

I certainly didnt mean to sound argumentative or like a know it all to Koji. Sorry if I came accross that way Koji. I know from looking around this site that you are THE MAN when it comes to Aros, I was just saying that I have done plenty of research and educated myself enough in aros that I felt like I could take the risk of raising two in the same tank. Well......... unfortunatley I have bad news but its not what you think. I read article after article on tank mates for aros and one of the fish I saw on MANY articles was Oscars. I feel like a jackass. My step son went to the local pet store with me and fell in love with a little 2" albino, as far as I knew the little guy would do fine, it wont hurt the aros and its too big to get eatin by the aros, well........ after about 2 weeks the little jerk tore my smaller aro up, ripped off all of her fins. She died the next day. I feel like the worst fish owner on the planet. I had an $80 silver arowana killed by a $2 oscar!!! What a schmuck!!!
Anyway, The other silver is doing great, Im going to take Kojis advice and give up on trying to introduce another. Instead I have just put in a small ray, an affrican knife, clown knife and a red tail cat. I originally wanted to just do Aros and Rays but the kids (I have 5) fall in love with these fish at the store and I just have to get them. But they all understand that we cant get any more fish, thank god lol. Oh and by the way, the albino is in the 10 gallon "time out" tank until I get a chance to take him back to the store ha ha!!!
