New 'hairy' monster in the house

For as still as they can be, its hard to get a good picture of these guys cause they get so excited when they see you that the fins start moving around so much its a blur. The way a puffer swims reminds me of a humming bird in the way they can hover. Here is an updated pic of the little potato, fins a blur.

So ugly that they are cute.

The fun of having a lurker type puffer... you get home and swear its dead and you want to poke it with a stick to make sure, lol

A moment later it was eating a silver side and it looks alive and well.

Yeah, they are kind of ugly, lol.

Honestly if I ever had to downsize to an extreme level of maybe just one of two tanks, my hairy puffer would likely always stay. Great little personality, and does interact with you for food. Doesn't really bother me that it sits because thats when Im not watching. It responds well to me in front of the tank very, so much so that sometimes as I am trying to take a picture of it 'playing dead', it thinks its feeding time and wont sit still. A keeper for sure. My other keeper would likely be my red wolf fish, also a very interactive fish since it too is very food driven in nature.

In saying that he’s as ugly as a hat full of bum holes, I meant he’s totally awesome Thus is the Aussie way of complimenting Definitely a keeper!!
