This is super important, in most saltwater tanks the live rock is the primary biological filtration and letting it dry out can set you back months and big $. If you are not going to be able to set it up immediately get a rubbermaid or similar tote for the live rock and use a powerhead for circulation. The water needs to be well oxygenated to maintain the organisms on/in the live rock.Btw make sure the media of the filter stays wet and does not dry out and don't rinse off with water from tap if you don't already know this. The live rock is also a natural filter it has a lot of creatures living on it some naked to the human eye.
